Viking Cruises review: Shipboard credit

We booked an ocean cruise with your cruise line on 27 Mar 2026. The entire process was completed online. The brochure (March 2026) described many cruise packages and we decided on the Mediterranean Antiquities ocean cruise. There was a special on the airfare price and the option of receiving either a $1000 shipboard credit or free beverage package. There was a condition that the cruise must be booked by 31 March 2026, which we did. We decided we would go with the $1000 shipboard credit. The representative stated that the conditions for receiving the shipboard credit were met but we failed to identify it as our choice when booking the cruise package.
