Absolutely terrible experience with Verizon.
About five months ago, I called because my internet speeds were extremely slow. Verizon told me my router was obsolete and said they would replace it at no charge. A technician came out and replaced the router — and ever since then, my entire home network has been a disaster.
Multiple TVs stopped working properly, my Sonos system failed, speakers disconnected, and several devices throughout my home no longer worked correctly. I ended up paying over $1,000 out of pocket to hire someone to repair and reconfigure everything Verizon disrupted.
To make matters worse, my internet is now actually slower than it was BEFORE the replacement.
Then Verizon started charging me over $500 for the “free” replacement router they specifically told me would cost nothing. For over four months, I’ve received suspension and collection notices every single month. Every month I call, sit on hold for an hour or more, get transferred repeatedly, sometimes disconnected multiple times, and every single representative tells me the charge will be removed.
Yet somehow the bill keeps coming back.
This has been one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I’ve ever had. Nobody seems accountable, nobody follows through, and customers are left wasting countless hours trying to fix Verizon’s mistakes.
I honestly cannot recommend Verizon to anyone after this experience.
