Southwest has long been my airline of choice even with the unassigned seats with the 2 checked bags option making it a no brainer for me. I tried to plan my travel ahead knowing I always could make changes to my reservation if need be.
When the change to 1 checked bag was announced, I figured that I would learn not to overpack.
But in June 2025 I purchased a ticket from ATL to PIT for 11/25/26 (B43JFS) for $103. I cancelled the ATL to PIT thinking I had a credit that I planned to use on later travel. This month I planned another trip ATL to PIT and looked for my credit and could not find it. After searching several times in my account, I contacted Customer Service and was informed that the credit was only good for 6 months from the date of purchase, not the date of travel. It makes no sense because the credit would have expired nearly before the planned trip.
Claimed loss: $103
Desired outcome: Restoration of my $103 credit from cancellation of flight.
