Speed Post Singapore delivery of our document to a complete stranger in a completely different building

CAS-1558541 - M9Q9Q2
Hi,

I am horrified with a lack of responsibility and care from SpeedPost Singapore.

They delivered our important and super sensitive document to some stranger in a different building, leaving a note under a door (in the same day!) that we must collect our parcel the next day from a POPStation!
When next day, we went to collect, as advised per their note, we couldn't retrieve it (but genuinely keep trying for half an hour, thinking there is a problem with electronic door). After 3 attempts to reach a customer service, we got at last some dodgy line in India, advising us that parcel was delivered already. We spent the whole evening on the phone with various Indian services trying to figure out to whom, this crucially important document that we needed urgently, was delivered. We heard the most amazing responses that sometimes when an owner not home, a delivery person can leave a package with neighbors (!). As we were new to the building, we didn't know any neighbors yet, but nevertheless spent the next day going through all 33 floors, asking if someone received and signed for our parcel.
By this stage, it was already 3 days late of promised delivery day (I don't even understand why are they bother to use this word "speed" and "secure delivery - it's anything else but that!)
Anyhow, in panic, we also started to call Australia (the origin of the document) where been advised that we can't have a duplicate - we need to go through the long process of applying for a "new".
The missing package was handed 3 days later to our security service by other security service from a completely different street (because it was on the way home of that nice security person! So if it wasn't, and if a person who received our package and signed on our behalf in a completely different street building, we still wouldn't receive it and significant consequences !

All "Speed"post could offer to us, after "investigating" for a week, is "we are sorry". Also they knocked in our door, before saying these valuable words, asking us to sign their delivery document that parcel was delivered to us at last (ah, no! a security guy from another building in a different street, drop it to our building security service! It never been delivered to us!)
It's lousy careless service - I would avoid it at any cost! I am new to the country and will spread word for sure as far as possible (including utilizing my journalist friend) not to use it. There are alternatives to the Speedpost! Don't believe their lies that it's secure & fast.
What also struck me the most it's that they don't care.
Even now, they probably still going to reply with their sorry - maximum customer compensation policy they have.
Well, don't bother - we don't need it.

Speed Post Singapore Delivery Service

Very frustrated with the service provided by SPEEDPOST! I have shipped my package from US last November 17 as PRIORITY MAIL (6-10 days) and it arrives in Singapore last Dec 1 only. From then, i keep chasing SPEEDPOST on the delivery of my item and everyday i'm getting the same response that they already placed my request and will receive the package the soonest. Now is already Dec 5 and according to their website it's still in the SORTING FACILITY. And according to the guy i spoke just now, my package is only under STANDARD DELIVERY! I've been shipping monthly for more than a year now and have my ups and downs with their service but this is the WORST! i felt like they are giving false information and false hopes to their customers apart from charging a high rate for the quality of service that is very UNACCEPTABLE!

Speed Post Singapore poor customer service and terrible delivery service

Dear All,

I would like to file a compliant for the poor customer service and terrible delivery service from Speedpost Singapore.

I have send a parcel to Bangladesh, but up until now they still haven't receive. This was send last 21 June via EMS (3 - 4 working days), taking into account that the items was picked up on Friday, the parcel should be delivered to the the receiver on 26 or latest 27 June.

Dated 27th June 2013 Thursday, I checked again and tried to call speedpost customer services, and they tried to explain that they have already pass the goods to the other counter parties and hence I can check online using the references number – ER394573326SG but the online only showing the same status which was posted on 22nd June 2013 (this can't help much to the receiver) so I called up again and they say will check for us and ask us to call back again in another 2 days.

Dated 1st July 2013 Monday morning, I call speedpost and check what is the reason that the online status is still showing 22nd June status and not further update, online checking suppose to be up to date but speedpost did not get the status updated, nevertheless the customer service told me that they will conduct the investigation which will take 3 to 4 working days and cannot advise much and ask us to wait again.

Dated 1st July 2013 Monday afternoon, I have to call speedpost customer services again and check which airline have they handle the goods from Singapore to Bangladesh and they say that they have handed over to the airline and advise us wait and call back again tomorrow.

Dated 2nd July 2013 Tuesday, I call speedpost again and was told by the customer services representative that we have to wait for 3 to 4 working days as the investigation is on going.

Dated 3rd July 2013 Wednesday I call again to speedpost and spoken to another customer service she claims that she can’t advise much after 20 mins of explaining the whole matter to her and the phone was transfer to their supervisor and she told me that she will investigate the case and update us again, at this point of time she can’t comments much, and both of us have agreed that she will send email and provide all reason that why speed post have delay on this shipment and give us a call back before 5pm on the same day and update us again. But no email was received from them.

I am very disappointed with the service render by speedpost after spending money for so impressive advertisement stating that they can send customer parcel in very short period and ensure for the good service but all this facts have proven to us that speedpost cannot deliver the promise.

No concrete reply and solution was provide after 4 working days and update the customer why the goods was delay. They do not have proper system to capture whenever the goods is not deliver to customer within 3 to 4 days and follow up with the customer for their opinion. Investigation was requested and required by speed post for 3 - 4 days – now the deadline is up and but no solution. No person in the customer service even the floor supervisor can give us the actual status of the parcel, whether it still in transit or lost in transit.

Hence, please kindly look through this matter urgently as we lost our trust and confidence with their service.

Regards,
Anonymous

Speed Post Singapore poor delivery services

Speedpost Singapore is completely useless at delivering parcels.

Twice this month, I had parcels updated as "failed delivery" without any notification at all. If I had not been tracking the parcels, I would not have known that the parcels failed to deliver.

The reason given for the first failed delivery was "no access to premises" but other people delivering food on the same day had no problems getting access so the reason is clearly made up by the delivery person.

The second failed delivery happened today with the reason "no such block/floor/unit number". So which is it exactly or did the postman not bother to actually read the address!

The customer care line is completely useless. There is no option to speak to a human to arrange for collection at the post office. I have to physically go to the post office to check. I have never encountered any delivery failures with other parcel delivery companies such as FEDEX and DHL. So clearly, it is only Speedpost that is incompetent!

Speed Post Singapore false information on tracking status

On 21/1/13 we were looking at the tracking status of our parcels from Korea. We were expecting 3 parcels from Korea. Shockingly, we realised that they eventually put in "Failed delivery - No such company at the address". This is a shopping centre and yet they can put it as such comment. We waited the whole day and tried calling SpeedPost, the customer service staffs are horrible. They seem like not understanding us. They kept saying wrong address. I told them that the address and company name is stated clearly at the 1st level reception area. How can such info be written on the tracking status?

They promised to deliver on 23/1/13 but never instead made us waited the whole day. We were mad and asked them and they promised to deliver on 24/1/13 but never deliver again. They put in the same status. When I called them, they told me to collect by ourselves or else you wait till Saturday 26/1/13.

Is Speed Post trying to save cost and give false info on the tracking status? Or are the staffs dishonest ? We have the telephone number yet they didn't call when they can't find the address. Please tell me what is called "SpeedPost"? Should it be that slow and inefficient! If you are unable to deliver then please don't take the job, tell all customers to go to your centre to collect.

Speed Post Singapore Delivery not possible

Dear Sir/Madam,

I would like to complain about my delivery not being able to deliver.

I called Speed Post on 28 August when I found out my supplements were supposed to be delivered on 27 August but failed to reach the destination, which is my company & not my own home address. I've decided to send it to my company because my home is normally empty & will only get home way after operating hours, even on Saturdays. So it is nearly impossible for me or anybody in my family to collect my items.

The reason for the failure of delivery was because there was no reply through intercom. But checking my phone & with my colleagues who are in charge of the delivery counter, there were no calls whatsoever.

So I rescheduled it to deliver on 30 August. I even called them to confirm if they'll be delivering my items today(30 August). The call operator confirmed with me that I'll receive the items today between 9am to 6pm & will call my number when they are delivering it.

An hour after my call, my colleague passed me a delivery advice that wants me to collect my items the following day as there was no reply through intercom again. And again, I did not receive any calls on my phone nor at the delivery counter.

I also specifically told the other call operator on the day I rescheduled my delivery that there is a One Stop Centre with a Counter 0 which manages all deliveries throughout the company so they can just place it there then my colleagues will inform me to go out & collect. The date stated on the Delivery Advice is 29 August 2012.
So I called the hotline again to confirm whether they'll be delivering my item or do I have to collect it the next day & I was quite upset to know that I'll have to collect it the next day on my own when they confirmed with me that I'll receive it today.

Please look into this matter. I hope something can be done about this.

Speed Post Singapore terrible delivery services

Dear Sir,

I would like to log a compliant for subsequent terrible service from Speedpost Singapore.

Since from Month of December last year, I have began my figure collection and always imported them from Japan into Singapore by either Registered SAL or EMS which is "Speedpost" in Singapore due to the fact that the amount is not small. Unfortunately, I nearly lost all of the shipments due to Poor services from Speedpost Singapore. How so? Below is my elaboration.

I will received a tracking number once the sender has began shipping the items to me. Yes I can track the parcel within Japan. Now the problems lies on our side. It has been alot of times my parcel has reached Singapore the records are not updated on international tracking website (for my case is Japan Post)for as long as a week long. Every time, I have to keep track and check with our Speedpost for my item status on our Speedpost tracking website.

This has been the fifth or sixth time I encountered such problem with them. When I check online with tracking CC201016285JP and was so shocked to discovered that Singpost had a numbers of failed attempt to delivered the item to me

1st Failed attempt made on 10 AUG 2012 with no delivery advice left.
Remark left by Speedpost on tracking website: "Unable to locate Address"
My View: I have no idea this deliver was made at this time since no delivery advice was left. Irrelevant remarks left by speedpost.

2nd Failed attempt made on 13 AUG 2012 again with no delivery advice left.
Remark left by Speedpost on tracking website: "No Reply Through Intercom"
My View: I have no idea this deliver was made since no delivery advice was left. I began to track my parcel online this time and also check my phone caller ID. There wasn't any number reflected from intercom. Obviously they did not all at al. So i call them up and arrange for another redelivery on 15 AUG 2012.

3rd Failed attempt made on 15 AUG 2012 again with delivery advice left in my mailbox but was in an evelope with postage paid dated 14 AUG 2012.
Remark left by Speedpost on tracking website: "No Reply Through Intercom"
My View: Again i check my phone caller ID. There wasn't any number reflected from intercom. Obviously again they did not all at al. Also my dad was at home this time. I just shoot them another email and demand another redlivery on Sat 18 AUG 2012.

On top of this they i demand them to arrange a delivery date which I am comfortable with. Which is this coming Saturday 18 Aug. But they wanted to charged me additional SGD 2.00 and told me that they can only schedule the redelivery tomorrow which is 15 Aug and if not, i have to collect it myself prtsonally at the post office. To my knowledge for past shipments, I have not been charged with additional postage and no problem arranging for redelivery on Saturday which is the only day I will be at home to receive it. I am not sure if they are any changes in any of their policies. But this is totally unaccepted at all. Speed post, registered parcel or EMS are supposed to be direct delivery to our doorstep at customers convenience.

Last but not least, of you have been searching the web regarding Speedpostt services. You will notice there has been alot of people not receiving their parcel or even lost them for all. From here, I can say even our own Singaporeans does not trust our own postal service at all. Not to say foreign that even insist on not shipping items to Singapore as on EBay as well as on Amazon website. Prices of shipping now as compared to couriers like DHL are almost similar. Except that DHL has better services. I would also go for DHL if I have the option because I have absolutley lost trust in our own postal services already.

Therefore, I urge you to look into this matter seriously before more of us completely lost trust in our own postal service.

Regards,
Josh Hau

Dear Sir/Madam,

Thank you for your e-mail on reply 14 August 2012 regarding the status of your postal article: CC201016285JP.

Please be advised that we have a new delivery process wherein we will only 'Redeliver' your parcel if there is a service failure on our part (e.g courier vehicle breakdown, insufficient time to deliver parcels to customer, late processing/scanning of parcels etc.).

Otherwise, after your parcel/s failed delivery to your address after our courier attempt delivery but failed due to other reasons than service lapse on our end (e.g nobody to receive at delivery address, doorbell not working etc.), we will automatically route the parcel to the designated post office where you may collect it within 5 working days from the date it was delivered there (the designated post office wherein you may collect your parcel is indicated in the 'Delivery Advice' to be left behind by our courier). Request for 'Redirection' to another address/post office or 'Redelivery' to your address will correspond to an additional postage fee which you may pay on the designated post office.

If you fail to collect the parcel/s at the designated post office within the 5 working days time frame, the parcel will be transferred to our main office at Paya Lebar and will stay there for an additional 5 working days for you to self collect the parcel. A second 'Reminder Delivery Advice' will be mailed to you (which is specifically for the collection of parcels at our main office at Paya Lebar only) which you will be needing to claim your parcel at our main office. If you still fail to collect your parcel at our main office after 5 working days, your parcel will then be returned to the sender.

Past experiences with Speedpost in Singapore (local deliveries) is that they are really slow. There is totally no speed in Speedpost. Lesson learnt was never to use their service but some merchants (for whatever reason) still ships with SP for online purchases, and one is left waiting for 8 to 9 working days for local delivery! Apparently, the service is called Economy Deferred, OMG! As if their normal package deliveries weren't slow enough!

worse courier service i ever encounter. deliver an item to a school at 9pm and expect some one to be around to do receiving. when delivery is unsuccessful, they do not arrange the next working day for re-delivery but waited until 5 days later i call up and question them. he can even reply because nobody is there to accept the item. did he even check it is because of their late delivery so nobody is around? simply no common sense.

SpeedPost / SingPost lost my very important document (Main document for US visa application). From the tracking ID it showed that item "delivered" on June 4 PM and signed off. Excuse me? No one was at home that moment how can it be "Signed"? From then onwards they total lost track of whereabout of my document! We have been waiting for this document for US visa interview scheduled in 3 days! Screw whoever responsible for the horrible incidence.

I ordered an item in Singapore on Dec 12th. Seller informed item would be delivered by 21st. Speedpost received the parcel on 14th and there was no delivery attempt until today. Contacted Speedpost on 22nd and they said that they would expedite. Contacted Speedpost again today and they said they are still trying hard to expedite the delivery due to very high volume of deliveries and cannot promise a delivery date in January. After 17 days of waiting, I still do not receive my item of local delivery. Sent from Singapore, Sending to Singapore. Is Singapore such a big country?

I ordered an item from India. Waited 1 month for it to be delivered to Singapore. Was tracking the item online and showed it had reached the sorting centre in singapore. Took leave to wait for the delivery and the next thing I knew the online tracking showed as the item was successfully delivered. I went to check in my mailbox but there was nothing...no parcel...no item. Contacted the 24/7 customer service hotline and was told there was nothing they can do about it as it was after office hours. So I asked why then did the delivery status showed as item delivered in the night ? Cannot answer except that no one in the office and as such cannot check until the next day. Send a mail and reply was 3 working days for a resolution. Speedpost Snr Manager contacted me but he is based in India and so will need to check from Speedpost Singapore. Why was there no contact no in Singapore since speedpost in based in Singapore ? Until today...it has been 3 days and nobody from speedpost can confirm where my item was and neither can they provide proof of delivery. So what can customers like me do for a mistake and inefficiency of speedpost staff ? Lost my item...lost my money...lost my time...lost my patience...yet speedpost remained quiet and said they will go an extra mile for customers ?

Speedpost is the worst courier service I've encountered so far. I ordered a large antique clay doll from Japan, it's life-size and extremely tall and huge. Speedpost delivered the first time and failed because no one was at home (1.20pm, hello?) When I called the lousy CS team to arrange for redelivery, they said that I have to self-collect. I paid over $200 in postage for such lousy service. The doll can't even fit in the boot of a car, how am I suppose to lug it home myself? After multiple calls and emails to the inefficient CS team, my problem is still not solved. Terrible company. Im gg to switch to FedEx or DHL in the future. They allow redeliveres at customers' convenience.

Singpost has very bad management totally lacking in creativity and not capable of improving and creating new services . There needs to be an investigation into the management structure of Singpost and the efficiency and creativity of the people in post . This lack of good management is why private delivery firms have made inroads into Singapore, which is a very small compact market .

Speed Post or Snail Post?
Hello All!
What's going on with Speed Post in India?
My Speed Post no.EM624719288IN dated 13 November 2010 containing my PAN Card, sent by the Income Tax PAN Services office from Mumbai to my address at Vashisht-175103, Manali, HP has not been received yet after 12 days of dispatch!

I tried to track the said Speed Post on the concerned website for tracking Speed Post but no information is available regarding it!

I tried to call the concerned customer support tel.nos.for tracking that missing Speed Post but all the nos. are busy all the time

I sent email to the concerned officer of the Speed Post in Mumbai, but no reply

What's wrong & what the hell is going on with the Speed Post department of Indian Postal Service

What's the use of the website for tracking the Speed Post if it cannot track the Speed Post?
What's the use of the customer support tel.nos. if we cannot make our calls through?
What's the use of the contact email of the concerned officer in-charge if he/she doesn't care to reply back?

Yours sincerely,
Mr.N.G.Singh

Hi..

I had went down to Singpost on Feb 13th and made a order for Speed post, I was informed that it will be delivered in 1-2 working days.
After 1 week, on 19th- I call them as I am able to track my item status online, I was told that they will call me back in 2 days and update the status. So as expected no calls from them
On 22nd- I call them again and they said they are still tracking and will call me back by evening. No answer as expected.
So next time I called them and I demanded that I talk to their manager and get this escalated. Again a fake promise that the manager will call me back. Which never happened until today.
On 25th- I call again for the fourth time and talked to their Supervisor as apparently “all Singpost managers were on leave”. I was given the scariest answer. They are waiting for the confirmation that the item is lost
Now I have a 300 dollar worth Stamp paper inside the documents and who will refund it?
So I said, if I need to get a new stamp paper I need to provide the proof that it was lost so I need to lodge a police complaint. So asked them to sent me an email. Which again never happened.
I called them back again and still no update and I am not sure why these people never let you talk to their managers!

Worst service ever ! I paid so much money and they don’t even bother to even call me back or transfer my call to their manager.

Thanks & Regards
Ramya
