Dear Customer Support Team,
I am writing this email out of extreme frustration and disappointment regarding the pathetic experience I have faced with your so-called “Trip Guarantee Premium” service.
I had booked train ticket PNR against Train No. 22477 – VANDE BHARAT EXP from Delhi to Jammu for travel on 14 May 2026, departing at 3:00 PM. Since my ticket was on the waiting list, I specifically paid an additional premium amount of ₹702 for your “Trip Guaranteed 3X” service because your platform promised support and alternative arrangements in case the ticket did not get confirmed.
Today, I was informed that my ticket was cancelled and only the base refund amount of ₹1595 was processed. The ₹702 premium amount has not been refunded.
As per your policy, instead of cash refund, I was issued a 3X coupon worth approximately ₹3100, coupon code: VOMTRAIN3PYE5N1YW, supposedly usable for booking an alternative bus or flight immediately.
However, when I actually tried to use the coupon today for an urgent alternative booking, your system displayed that the coupon was “not applicable” and could not be used.
What exactly is the purpose of selling a “Trip Guarantee” service if the coupon itself becomes useless when customers genuinely need it?
Because your coupon failed and your customer support was completely unresponsive, I was forced to arrange alternate travel on my own and pay ₹1720 from my pocket — an expense I should never have had to bear if your promised service had worked properly.
This entire experience has caused unnecessary mental stress, inconvenience, wasted time, and financial loss. Your customer care has been absolutely pathetic with no proper support or resolution.
Therefore, I am formally demanding:
1. Immediate refund of the ₹702 Trip Guarantee premium amount.
2. Reimbursement of the ₹1720 I was forced to spend on alternative travel due to failure of your promised service.
3. A proper explanation as to why the issued coupon code was invalid and unusable despite being active.
If this issue is not resolved promptly, I will be compelled to escalate this matter further through consumer grievance platforms and public complaint forums.
I expect a resolution at the earliest.
