I filed an FCC complaint about streaming services charging extra for Dolby Atmos / 4K / HDR / Dolby Vision while many customers may not clearly understand the equipment, settings, content, and plan requirements needed to actually receive those features. Amazon, Disney+, Max/HBO, and Netflix appear to use versions of this premium-feature tiering, while Apple TV+ does not seem to do it the same way. This feels like monetizing confusion around technical features, and I think it deserves consumer-tech coverage.
