I am trying to cancel my mom's Apple account. I have provided Apple with her death certificate and the will, which names me as the Estate Trustee/Executrix. However, Apple is requesting some very personal information, such as her CRA clearance certificate and her CPP survivor's pension. I believe these requests are excessive and invade privacy.
The bank did not require any of these documents from me.
At a time of great sorrow, this process feels very intrusive.
